Live Trax Vol. 1: 12.8.98 - Centrum Centre - Worcester, MA This show was announced before the series was branded "Live Trax." At beginning of the 2004 Summer Tour in Maryland Heights, the Warehouse tent handed out square-shaped flyers with benefits of membership, contact info, and merchandise. On the right side of the flyer is:"DMB DOWNLOADS The entire Dave Matthews Band catalog is now available for digital download at www.davematthewsband.com COMING SOON! DMBLIVE Vol. I 12.8.98 - Worcester, Massachusetts" The flyer was also inserted into The Gorge release a few weeks later. The Warehouse ran a contest for members to name the series - won by Brad Reardon and the Live Trax title was used for the first time in the Volume 2 announcement. Limited edition # out of 500 pressed onto blue vinyl was released on April 20, 2013 for Record Store Day. It was made available for order on black vinyl through the Warehouse store on June 6, 2013. Both vinyl releases use the same cover, which is unique from either the original or reprinted CD cover. The cover art for the second pressing of this release (shown at left) has the date misprinted as 8.8.98. Official Current DMB Release Notes: 2 CD set from 12.8.1998, the second night of a two night stand at the Centrum in Worcester, MA. According to crew reports, these were shows that showcased a period of musical growth for the band in which set list standards transcended into virtually new songs. Guest stars feature Jeff Coffin, Bela Fleck, and Tim Reynolds throughout the show. This release is available as a CD or digital download in MP3 or FLAC format. The color hex code for the Live Trax Vol. 1 ribbon is #4599d7. |
