We are pleased to announce that Dave Matthews will join a host of talented artists representing a wide variety of musical genres and generations at The Clearwater Concert: Creating the Next Generation of Environmental Leaders, a concert event celebrating Pete Seeger’s 90th Birthday on Sunday, May 3rd at Madison Square Garden.

The special concert event will benefit and raise awareness for Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, founded by Pete Seeger, which strives to preserve and protect the Hudson River. Seeger, a legendary folk singer, political activist and avid environmentalist, has long inspired social change through his extraordinary life and music. In addition to Dave Matthews, over 40 artists will be performing including Joan Baez, Ben Harper, Ani DiFranco, Michael Franti, Emmylou Harris, Juanes, John Mellencamp, Tao Rodriguez–Seeger, Bruce Springsteen, Taj Mahal, Eddie Vedder, and Keller Williams.

This is the first truly public Dave solo performance since 12.16.06.
After his time slot, Dave joined most of the other performers from the day on This Land Is Your Land and Happy Birthday.
