This was Boyd Tinsley's 50th birthday. First time Stolen Away on 55th & 3rd has been played since 8.30.08First two-set show since 3.6.07, and first two-set DMB show since 12.31.96 ( 9.9.10 was technically a two-set show, but as it was a TV taping, it wasn't a "normal" show) The crowd sings Happy Birthday to Boyd before Satellite (the first song for which he was on stage). About 5 minutes before the second set started, the house lights dropped. The house music changed to An' Another Thing from the Some Devil album played in reverse and graphics were projected onto translucent curtain. The house music segued directly into the band's Big Eyed Fish. The curtain remained down for the first two songs while graphics continued to hit the curtain from the front and lasers hit it from the back. It was raised after Seek Up and before Seven. |
