Dave Matthews Band (A Concert for Charlottesville)
This was Boyd Tinsley's last show before leaving the band. From dmband.com: "In response to the recent events in their hometown of Charlottesville, VA, Dave Matthews Band will host an evening of music and unity that will be FREE for members of the Charlottesville area and University of Virginia communities." The show was free to all attendees, regardless of residence, but UVa students and residents of Charlottesville and the surrounding counties had preference in the ticketIng process. Dave played Mercy at 6:00 before introducing Susan Bro, the mother of Heather Heyer, who was killed in the protest violence on August 12. Chris Martin/Jonny Buckland, Bilal, and Stevie Wonder were unannounced. First time Butch Taylor has guested since 4.1.08. First time all four of DMB's primary touring members (Butch, Jeff, Rashawn, and Tim) have played at the same show. First time Superstition has been played since 12.15.03 and first time ever by DMB.
